Overview
A US-based health and wellness brand had launched their product on Amazon two months prior. Ads were running, the budget was being spent, and the listings were technically live. But the product was nowhere to be found in search results, not on page two, not on page three, not even on page seven. The brand assumed it was a keyword or ranking issue and kept increasing ad spend, hoping it would push visibility forward. When they came to AMZOS, the audit revealed the real problem had nothing to do with keywords or bids.
At the time of listing creation, an outdated flat file template was used that contained a deprecated browse node value. As a result, the product went live without a valid category assignment. It had no category ranking, didn’t appear in category browse or filters, and had significantly reduced visibility in relevant searches.

The listings were created using an outdated flat file with a browse node Amazon no longer supports, leaving them without a valid category assignment and limiting their visibility in relevant category searches.
The conversion rate was sitting at 6.4% against a category average of 10 to 11%, meaning fewer than 7 in every 100 visitors landing on the page were actually buying.
Backend search terms had unused space and repeated keywords, leaving relevant search terms unindexed.
Product images were basic with no infographics or feature callouts, giving arriving shoppers no visual information to help them make a confident purchase decision.
Identified the incorrect browse node, checked indexing across affected ASINs, and worked with Amazon Seller Support to correct the category.
Analyzed the top five competitors in the correct category and rebuilt titles, bullets, and backend search terms around relevant keyword opportunities.
Replaced basic product shots with lifestyle images and infographics, then added A+ content to communicate key features and address buyer questions.
Tracked indexing, organic rankings, and conversion rate weekly after the category correction to measure the impact.
One technical fix changed everything. The listing work made sure the results held.
